Welcome to Bill’s Best BBQ! We make delicious, organic barbeque sauces using Bill Fehon’s secret family recipe. It’s produced and distributed by the Fehon family and 10% of our profit goes to find a cure for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
On March 23, 1954 William Charles Fehon was born in Tallahassee, Florida to parents Jack and Peggy. Bill spent the majority of his childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina, before attending the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania for high school. As a senior, he met his future wife Diane Morey. They wed in 1975 and now have five children: Aaron, Jason, Anders, Jeremy and Garrett. Bill has always enjoyed the outdoors, with fly fishing and bow hunting as two of his favorite activities. In fact, Bill helped found the United Bow Hunters of Pennsylvania and was the president of the organization for many years. In addition, he was an avid vegetable gardener, cook, and handyman. In the spring of 2009 he retired from 32 years of teaching human anatomy and biology at the Academy of the New Church.
At some point in Bill’s journey (sometime in the early 90s) he created the recipe for what is now Bill’s Best Original Organic BBQ Sauce. He started making it for his family and friends. The sweet and tangy flavor, combined with a mild kick appealed to everyone. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2009, Bill was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Degeneration and can no longer make his sauce. To honor him, his family has decided to sell his sauce and donate 10% of the profit to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. Bill Fehon created the recipe for our Original flavor in the early 1990s. It’s a sweet and tangy Kansas City style barbeque sauce with just a slight hint of heat. This is a universal sauce that will appeal to everyone’s taste buds. We recommend grilling chicken and brushing on some Bill’s Best Original Organic BBQ Sauce the way Bill used to do it. It’s great on virtually everything!
For those heat fanatics, we took the original recipe and cranked it up a notch with the king of the pepper family: Habanero! We also dialed the sweetness back a bit, added more liquid smoke, and threw in some lemon zest, as well as, ground cumin and yellow mustard seed. We think Bill’s Best Spicy Organic BBQ Sauce will satisfy all those people who like the original recipe but kept bugging us for more kick. Now you’ve got it!
